Spring is almost here, and we are taking a moment to look back at the amazing and busy winter we've had at Oehme Graphics. Our prints were featured in two major juried shows, OG artist Patsy Krebs had a solo show of all 22 etchings she made with us, OG artist Ken Buhler had a show as Gallery Gris in Hudson, and we had our first resident artist Susan Thompson. We also had many events here at the studio, including a talk for the Steamboat IVP docent group and a party for Perry Mansfield and the newly formed Copper Ridge Art Alliance. On top of that, Oehme Graphics also participated in the Select Fair Miami, and the E|AB Fair in New York City!
Patsy Krebs: Fugue curated by Park Myers
"The term fugue is used both in classical music composition as well as psychiatry. Krebs' sequential, subtly varied prints within each suite are reminiscent of the fugueform in which tonal changes and repetition define each successive development while the original theme recurs frequently throughout the course of the composition. In psychiatry, fugue is referred to as a state of psychological amnesia during which a patient seems to behave in a conscious and rational way although upon return to normal consciousness he cannot remember the period of time nor what he did during it. The entrancing experience of her untitled suite can emanate fugue state; a temporary flight from reality."
Exhibition Dates: February 7 - March 28, 2013

Resident Artist Susan Thompson
Changes at OG
Kristen Bukowski is starting an MFA program in the fall, Susan Hover Oehme has been invited to speak at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Julia Bollinger is off to Italy to look at art schools, and Christie Ginanni Stepan only has one more year before she graduates with her MFA. We have some talented interns coming to the studio this summer to work along side some talented artists....
2013 is going to be another big year for OG. Arists Diana Cooper, Jason Karolak, Melissa Meyer, and Katherine Bradford are coming for projects, and upcoming artist residencies include Catherine Chauvin and Elizabeth Gilfilen. Furthermore, you will find us at fairs across the country, including the 14th annual Boston Print Fair in March (this week!), the Capital Art Print Fair in April, and Art Santa Fe in July. We are doing the "How is was Made" booth at Art Santa Fe, and will be giving print demos and hands on presentations throughout the course of the fair.
